The Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games will be hosted in Los Angeles, California in 2028, returning to the United States for the first time in over 30 years. 2028 will be the first time LA hosts the Paralympic Games, creating an opportunity to expand awareness, understanding and inclusion of people with disabilities.

LA28, the organizers for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles, is on a mission to create an unparalleled Games experience for athletes, fans, partners, our community and our people. The 2028 Olympics and Paralympics will represent LA and leverage the strength of our community’s diversity and uniqueness and creativity as we collectively work to design a Games that we all want to be a part of. The LA28 organizing committee is an independent, non-profit organization that is privately funded and governed by a board of directors.

Manager, Security & Transportation Integration:

The Security and Transportation Integration Manager will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and overseeing the integration of security protocols within LA28’s comprehensive transportation network. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills who can work collaboratively with multiple agencies and stakeholders to ensure the highest levels of security and operational efficiency during the Games. The ideal candidate is a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills.  This position reports to the Director of Security Planning & Integration.   

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning & Integration: Develop and execute an integrated strategy that aligns transportation operations with robust security protocols. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners (law enforcement, transportation authorities, emergency services, and private vendors) to create a unified security and transportation framework.  Serve as the Security liaison for road event planning and manage the public safety role in the road events operations center during games time.  

• Risk Management & Compliance: Contribute to risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in the transportation network and propose effective mitigation strategies. Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as international best practices for event security.
