We are looking for a Operations Manager to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Ames, IA.

As the Operations Manager you will lead the sites manufacturing efforts to ensure Safety, Quality and productivity goals are met. Innovation and team building are important initiatives for the site. Good people skills to facilitate ownership and team building are a must, as well as a hands-on involvement of the site operations.

- Managing all site operations functions, including maintenance and productions.
- Executing a strategic plan of action to support the BASF brand, including crisis management support.
- Fostering beneficial relationships with stakeholders, government officials and other external opinion leaders.
- Developing and motivating your team members to execute a complete communications (internal and external) strategy.
- Driving innovation with the team.
- Fostering a teamwork culture, remove barriers and improve processes and quality of work life.
- Facilitating process improvements.
If you...
- Have a BS/BA in a technical discipline; Biology, Chemistry, or Engineering is preferred.
- Possess 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role.
- Have knowledge and working experience with MS Word and PowerPoint.
- Have experience working with and managing a team in a manufacturing setting.
- Have experience in the implementation of process improvements.
- Have strong written and oral communication skills.
- Possess working knowledge of 5S and lean principles; experience with those principles is preferred.
- Have SAP skills; experience with SAP is preferred.
