POSITION SUMMARY

The technical trainer develops and conducts technical training programs for the renewables and services divisions of Pearce including Wind, Solar, BESS, EV, and Telecom technicians. Is responsible for internal EHS, quality control program, and ensures all technicians are evaluated and scored based on their technical abilities.  Must live local to Lewisville / Dallas TX facility. (Relocation negotiable)

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

Preferred 10 years of progressive experience (required 4-5 years) in renewable energy (wind, solar, BESS, EV) and or services (Telecom) industry or equivalent experience in EMS, military, and industrial field work or instruction.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Will continuously review GWO standards and ensure all documentation is released and revised to match changing standards and requirements
  • Look for new opportunities to develop and add new training to match industry growth and GWO modules
  • Perform audits on all Pearce divisions classrooms, facilities, equipment, GWO standards and training materials to ensure best in class instruction and hands on demonstrations meet and exceed standards for industry
  • Support trainers’ development with cross training and career path guidance
  • Take part in growth & development projects for team
  • Proven history of teaching in a classroom setting and developing renewables / services technician-related curricula. Must have the ability to train in prudent industry practices for the Wind, Solar, BESS, EV, and Telecom industry
  • Proven track record on training theory in the areas of electrical safety, Qualified Electrical work, convertor/invertor, hydraulic and mechanical
  • Must have strong working at heights and tower rescue abilities
  • Ability to engage with all students in the classroom, understanding the core elements of adult learners
  • Computer proficiency with all Microsoft Office programs, particularly PowerPoint. Skills working with classroom audio/visual equipment
  • Extensive knowledge of current renewable energy and tower services industry best practices. Ability to learn those of other industries
  • Ability to be flexible and meet the changing needs of a dynamic, growing company

  • A strong ability to define new training programs based on the needs of the company and industry.
  • Strong analytics and an ability to instrument, measure and improve processes and training programs
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and execution skills

EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferably be certified as Global Wind Organization Trainer and train others accordingly.
  • Confers with management, supervisors, and employees to gain knowledge of technical industry needs requiring training and to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, business initiatives, and technologies.
  • Develops strong relationships with internal customers to develop course materials and receive feedback.
  • Utilizes Learning Management System (LMS)/Safety Skills to formulate teaching outline and determine instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
  • Selects and/or develops teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials and reference work
