Job Location Waynesville, NCJob Shift GraveyardRequirements and Responsibilities:
**2nd Shift, Monday - Thursday, 5:30 pm - 5:15 am**
- Must observe company work rules and safety rules at all times, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and seat belts at all times while driving a forklift.
- Must receive and maintain forklift certification. If utilizing company vehicles, also required to have a valid state drivers’ license
- Ability to operate all types of forklifts and/or material handling equipment to effectively store, stage, move and ship material into/from appropriate locations, utilizing scanners and barcode equipment, visual observations and verification of counts
- Maintain warehouse inventory accuracy and assist with scheduled cycle counts and inventory counts
- Must know the processes of picking, staging, shipping and completion of a shipment and applicable shipping paperwork
- Must know the processes of receiving products and putting them away, as needed
- Load/unload trucks or trailers safely, abiding by all safety control parameters and policies
- Coordinate work with Warehouse Manager, Inventory Manager, Traffic Coordinator, Planner/Schedulers and Production as needed
- Maintain safe, clean work environment (shelves, pallet area, workstations, etc.) and maintain consistent, clean and stocked warehouse area
- Must be able to work flexible work schedules and required overtime, holidays and on-call, as needed
- Alert supervisor or next level manager of any discrepancies or encountered problems which may affect customer’s delivery and/or inventory
- Need strong organizational, communication and people skills. Ability to work with all team members, demonstrate a positive demeanor and a “can do” attitude
- Must be familiar with the ERP/inventory system as it applies to warehouse, shipping and receiving functions, including the use of scanning/printing equipment
- Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Basic math, computer and data entry skill
- Knowledge of scan guns and scanning equipment/technology
- Forklift experience preferred
Work Environment/Conditions/Physical Demands:
Work will take place in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time. Employee may be required to work weekends, holidays and be on-call on occasion. The employee may encounter conditions with frequent air changes and environmental exposure.
