Work You’ll Do
The Cyber Defense Trainer designs, develops, and delivers hands-on cyber defense training that simulates real-world threats that are tailored to US Space Force space mission systems and operations. This role builds engaging lab scenarios and courseware, presents technical courseware, and continuously improves training to keep pace with client needs and evolving tactics, techniques, and procedures.
Key responsibilities:
- Create new lab scenarios and hands-on exercises that replicate realistic cyber threats and operational conditions.
- Tailor training to space mission systems/operations and associated cyber terrain (mission-relevant technologies and dependencies).
- Design and develop courseware using instructional design models, including training objectives, curricula, course outlines, instructor guides, student guides, and job aids.
- Consult with stakeholders/clients to define learning objectives, training approach, delivery methods, and success criteria.
- Apply varied instructional techniques to accommodate different learning styles and sustain learner engagement.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure course content and the supporting training range are accurate, relevant, and impactful.
- Present/instruct developed courseware; facilitate labs, discussions, and assessments.
- Improve existing course content to keep training current and effective.
- Use Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) to build polished, usable training materials.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus one or more of the Qualifying Trainings and Certifications in lieu of degree.
