Postdoctoral Scholar – Research Associate position is available with a well-established research team that has recently moved to the University of Southern California (USC), a world-class university located in the City of Los Angeles, California, USA. The position may not depend on external funds, although the research team is currently well funded by National Cancer Institute (NCI), National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS), American Cancer Society (ACS), American Lung Association (ALA) and other funding agencies. The position is for a qualified candidate who wishes to pursue a career in the basic and translational research of lung cancer, lung infection and diseases. The team is focusing on the discovery and elucidation of immuno-oncology signaling pathways for the prognosis, prevention and treatment of human lung cancer and diseases, using mouse and human co-clinical models and art-of-the-state technologies and instruments.
The ideal candidate for this position should have demonstrated strong experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, pathology, cancer biology and/or bioinformatics. Experience in working with animal models (mouse and/or rat) is desirable but not necessary. The annual base salary range for this position is $54,080.00 - $77,686,92. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
Minimum Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate within previous five yearsMinimum Experience: 0-1 year
Minimum Field of Expertise: Directly related education in research specialization with advanced knowledge of equipment, procedures and analysis methods.
