About the role
Responsible for supporting operations and processes as they relate to Current Program Manager clients. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining the documentation framework for new and existing Programs to support management function, analyzing programs and their components to support reporting requirements and ensure program compliance, managing operational processes related to new accounts, working with other internal functional departments to monitor specific risk aspects, following up on issues raised by the Program client, and routine internal reporting by program.
Essential Functions:
- Manage projects with both internal and external participants. This process requires judgment to appropriately prioritize as well as determine effective follow up procedures.
- Coordinate and work with staff from accounting, actuarial, legal, client services and reinsurance departments to develop a comprehensive view of the Program; escalate and take the lead on solving issues as they arise. This includes creating, maintaining and analyzing program components like earned and collected premium, premium aging and volume, agent fees and state aggregations.
- Perform the implementation and process review for new accounts, including documenting the clients operational processes; review and update as needed; establish the framework for managing the deliverables from the program manager and any internal departments.
- Lead or directly manage an operational and/or risk process related to a new SP account.
- Create presentations for monthly/quarterly reporting, as well as ad hoc reports.
- Prepare and present Program performance analysis to executive leadership. Prepare program summaries and documentation where none exists.
- Coordinate and facilitate audit functions working with various vendors and providing review and oversight of the activities. Maintaining a strict schedule and appropriate documentation standards.
- Special projects, as required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Insurance/Reinsurance knowledge preferred
- Intermediate or higher skill level in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent project management skills required, along with an ability to identify and resolve problems
- Must be detail-oriented; analytical; and able to summarize and synthesize data
- Highly motivated and capable of prioritizing tasks with minimal supervision; works effectively and efficiently under pressure; maintains high standards despite pressing deadlines
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team while maintaining positive relationships with clients and internal constituents
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 3 or more years of work experience required, preferably in risk management or operations in a relevant functional area to include insurance, reinsurance, financial services, accounting, audit, or project management.
