Purpose of the Position:
Lead production operations, plant-level operational improvement projects, and plant-level continuous improvement efforts for a specific technology or product line. Achieve safety, quality, asset effectiveness, cost, inventory, service, and growth targets.
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor of Arts and Science – engineering degree preferred.
- 6+ years of successful and proven supervisory, team leader and/or section supervisor experience in a manufacturing plant environment (equivalent leadership experience considered).
- Experience and accountability for developing, implementing, and driving results for MBO’s and manufacturing line metrics.
- Proven capability to lead, coach, direct and develop salaried exempt and nonexempt employees
- Training in employee effectiveness, conflict resolution, coaching, listening skills, and supervisory effectiveness.
- In depth knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Principles
- Training, understanding, and demonstrated competence in cost accounting, managing for profitability.
- Trained and experienced in fundamentals of environmental stewardship, safety, and health.
- Experience managing the talent development strategy for the department, including programs to attract, develop and retain key talent.
- Led or participated in a cross-functional team in a manufacturing environment responsible for delivering key improvement initiative or cost reduction program.
Desired Skills:
- Exposure to multiple manufacturing processes and corporate network and resources.
- Led or participated in a project team responsible to develop and/or launch a new product into manufacturing.
- Proficient in collaborating, interfacing, and communicating upward and outward (Plant, Business and Division).
- Certified Six Sigma Black belt or Green Belt
