Beverage Server

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·         Creates and ensures a fun-filled and exciting environment where the execution of “Fast and Flawless” service is paramount.

·         Provides timely, accurate and courteous beverage service to all guests while maintaining a clean, organized and safe work environment.

·         Follows all cash handling procedures as described in department specific cash handling procedures and internal controls.

·         Assures all drink requests are properly rung on MICROS systems.

·         Adheres to all service standards.

·         Abides all laws pertaining to service and sale of alcoholic beverages as provided in property alcohol management program.

·         Acts as a role model and presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same. 

·         Adheres to all department and company policies and procedures. 

·         Performs all related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

·         High school diploma or equivalent required

·         Prior restaurant experience required.

·         2 years service experience preferred.

·         Knowledge of all drinks, recipes and garnishes.

·         Ability to be flexible with schedule to include nights, holidays and weekends.

·         Follows uniform guidelines.

·         Clean and neat appearance.

·         Must be at least 21 years of age.

JOB DEMANDS:

·         Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

·         Position requires 10% standing, 90% walking.

·         Requires some pushing and twisting.

·         Requires frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, stooping and reaching above and below shoulders.

·         Must be able to respond to touch, speech, smell, aural and visual cues.

·         Must be able to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 10 (ten) hours in length.

·         Must be able to work in areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.

·         Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment involving constant internal and external customer contact.

·         Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling customer needs and concerns

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills

·         Ability to stand and walk for entire shift and mobility to move easily around entire property
