About the role

We are currently looking for a Senior Manager of Accounting to join the Finance team! In this role you will manage a team of direct reports ensuring distribution of work and effective management to achieve quality and quantity of objectives. The direct reports will include resources covering accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger. 

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team who is based in the Bay Area, as some on-site presence may be required.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the month end close process, including preparation of financial statements when needed

  • Responsible for preparing Financial Statements analysis, including overall flux analysis quarterly

  • Prepare and review month end reconciliations of Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts

  • Maintain the financial reporting and general ledger structure

  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close

  • Manage General Ledger and all accounting operations

  • Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department

  • Lead person on all Financial Statement audits

  • Manage day-to-day Banking transactions and AP checks, wires/ACH and cash forecasting.

  • Responsible for signing AP checks, ACH and Wires on behalf of Natera

  • Lead ERP automation projects to streamline processes in department

  • Support Corporate Controller and SEC Manager in SEC filings

  • Assist Corporate Controller on ad-hoc reporting and special projects

  • Respond to other department managers regarding financial results, when needed

  • Provide guidance to accounting staff on processes and procedures

  • Perform other duties as assigned or required

  • Build and manage a high performing team that maintains a strong “client service” focus and culture

  • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing and hiring qualified team resources

  • Identify and ensure the training and development needs of team members are met

  • Plan and define performance goals with senior financial management to set overall and team-level performance measures and goals

  • Establish collaborative relationships with internal and external clients to understand the business

  • Identify additional ways to be of service by ensuring timely exchange of information to promote client satisfaction.

  • Foster a “client service” culture and instill a work ethic that includes collaboration
     

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required

  • Minimum of 5 years leading a month end close process is required 

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in California is required

  • Big 4 Public Accounting experience is highly desired.

  • Oracle experience

The pay range is listed and actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.Remote - USA$128,000—$160,000 USD
