Senior Product Designer, Product Platform

We are currently seeking a B2B Senior Designer to join our Product Platform team. This role will be focused on crafting intuitive and flexible horizontal platform-wide features like collaboration (comments, tasks, ownership), notifications, access management, and billing, used by our internal teams to provide consistent experiences for our Vanta customers. This role is crucial in bringing our vision to life. Ideal candidates have a proven track record of crafting exceptional B2B SaaS product features with consumer-grade craftsmanship, consistently delivering meaningful value to customers. You excel in environments that are full of ambiguity and complexity, enjoying the autonomy to shape plans that optimize and streamline customer experiences. Your history shows a strong ability to translate customer needs and technical challenges into positive business outcomes through effective partnerships with Product Management and Engineering. You have proven success of cross-organization design influence by delivering shareable, well-crafted experiences that are easily adopted by your design peers. While prior experience in security is beneficial, it is not required, as many of our successful team members have thrived at Vanta without it.

You will report to a Design Director within the Experience Design Organization.

What you’ll do as a Senior Product Designer, Product Platform at Vanta:

• Lead the design and execution of strategic shared primitives, components, and features that are intuitive, flexible, and deliver substantial customer value, while enabling our internal teams with consistent experiences cross-platform.

• Conduct customer discovery to inform feature strategy, helping to craft thoughtful, scalable experiences that support the Platform team’s vision and objectives.

• Partner and align with your product team to help identify and advocate for design-driven initiatives with organization-wide impact.

• Drive collaboration with your design peers to ensure shared solutions meet the needs and shape of each area of the platform.

• Develop clear frameworks and guidelines to drive design decision-making and enable your design peers to easily adopt new shared patterns.

• Contribute to and refine our design system to ensure it aligns with strategic goals while maintaining consistent, high-quality design standards.

How to be successful in this role:

• 6+ years of experience delivering high-quality B2B SaaS product features.

• Demonstrated track record of high executional quality and organization-wide impact through well-crafted, sharable solutions leveraged by other internal product teams.

• Independent in driving discovery processes and leveraging customer insights to inform product strategy and define design directions.

• Skilled in leading the design process from ambiguity to concept and execution.

• Proven track record of working with cross functional partners effectively to accomplish design goals.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and complex systems-thinking, while drawing connections across features and teams.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly articulating design concepts to diverse audiences.

• Proficient in managing complex projects, timelines, and proactive escalation handling.

• Portfolio required, showcasing consumer-grade craftsmanship and effective product solutions tailored to customer needs.
