Roles & Responsibilities: 

The Clinical Research Coordinator is an entry-level human subjects’ researcher responsible for conducting and assisting in clinical research studies under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. The PI for this position is Jonathan DePierro, PhD, who is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Associate Director of the Center for Stress, Resilience and Personal Growth (CSRPG), and faculty at the Depression and Anxiety Center for Discovery and Treatment. CSRPG focuses on the resilience and well-being of Mount Sinai faculty and staff through education and individualized therapy. Dr. DePierro also has active research projects involving digital therapeutics for posttraumatic stress disorder and resilience. The CRC obtains informed consent, and collects, maintains, and organizes study information and databases. The CRC assists in the preparation and submission of grant applications and documents (e.g., Institutional Review Board, Grants and Contracts Office

  • Collects and records study data. Inputs all information into database.
  • Obtains informed consent under minimal supervision of the investigator(s) and educates participants regarding study requirements.
  • Assists in the activities related to clinical research studies including but not limited to: answering phone calls, screening participants for eligibility, registering subjects with sponsoring agency, administering lifestyle questionnaires.
  • Assists in preparing grant applications, IRB/GCO for submission and filings.
  • Maintains source documents and subject files in accordance with hospital procedures. Ensures accurate and complete compilation of subject data through chart reviews.
  • Secures, delivers and ships clinical specimens as required by the protocol.
  • Prepares for monitoring visits.
  • Performs other related duties.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Science or closely related field.
  • 1-2 years of research experience
