The Accountant II role will have various responsibilities for the monthly financial close and accounting/reporting within the North America Share Services Accounting group. They will deliver accurate, timely, and relevant financial information, while maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger accounts. Identifies potential financial risks opportunities resulting from account analysis while supporting the organization in complying to all GAAP and SOX requirementsKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and highlight significant variances from sub-ledger/forecast (low to mid-level risk assessment)
Support the month end closing process by preparing journal entries and working with external departments to gather relevant information timely
Ensure SOX compliance for all assigned processes by obtaining proper approvals and following steps as outlined in the SOX narratives. Partner with external departments by providing relevant account details to support decision making.
Support schedules as requested quarterly and on an annual basis to support external auditors timely and accurately
Continuous learning and advanced training in field
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or other business concentration.
2-4 years of direct corporate accounting and/or public accounting
Understanding/proficiency of Microsoft office products

The salary range for this opportunity is $70,000 – $75,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
