Overview
The Pharmacist II, Ambulatory (Retail/Specialty/Clinic) prepares and dispenses prescribed medications to patients in the community setting. This role educates patients, supervises pharmacy technicians and operates under the general supervision of a pharmacist manager.Talent Pool: Allied Health
Responsibilities
Interprets and follows physician instructions to deliver the correct care to the correct patient.Oversees and verifies prescription order entry, packaging and dispensing. Provides and monitors drug utilization and medication-related information to healthcare professionals, patients and the public. Assists with the evaluation of pharmacy technicians against the established goals of the department and larger hospital. Provides other clinical services as necessary to facilitate patient care.Performs other duties as reasonably required or assigned.Qualifications
EDUCATION:Required: Doctor of Pharmacy or BSPharm EXPERIENCE:Required: 3 years LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required:Registered Pharmacist in NCBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare ProviderApply for this role
