AVP, Valued Based Contracting

Job Summary

The AVP Value Based Contracting is an executive focused on negotiating and expanding the organization’s Value Based Contract portfolio at the National level.  The position, reporting to the VP National Contracts and Strategic Relationships, acts as a strategic partner with Network, Medical Economics, Risk Adjustment and Quality, Finance, EIM/IT, and Clinical leadership to develop and grow new Value Based partnerships. The scope includes negotiation, valuation and implementation of value based contracts at the enterprise level.

 

Job Duties

• Lead the organization in ideation, development, and implementation of value based contracts.
• Develop strategies for growing member attribution to value based agreements at both the national and state level as needed.
• Identify and negotiate value based contracts that improve the total cost of healthcare for the organization.
• Contributes as a key member of the National Management Team to facilitate development of network strategic goals for value based contracting with leadership.
• Recommend guidelines for value based contracting and provides leadership on strategic development in new markets.
• Expert level knowledge regarding reimbursement methodologies for value based contracts, across all lines of business.
• Provide strategic leadership, while also managing multiple complex internal stakeholders and external partnerships.

 

Job Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or related field

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 10+ years of leadership in managed care
• 7+ years of experience in value based / network contracting
• Significant experience in health insurance
• Experience leading and influencing both direct and indirect reports

PREFERRED EDUCATION

MBA/Masters in applicable field
