As a contract and private label manufacturer, Valentine Enterprises Lawrenceville facility is a 300,000 square feet state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This facility is equipped for contract blending, filling, bulk fills and flexible packaging solutions. In addition, VEI staffs a full product development lab that excels in flavor profiles and custom formulation, making each product precise and unique.

Job Description

Ready to be the superhero of our maintenance world? As our Maintenance Supervisor, you'll be the maestro conducting a symphony of well-oiled machines across two shifts. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to keep our VEI Equipment (Blending/Pre-weigh/Filling/Packaging) and HVAC systems running smoothly.

• Establish, maintain, and comply with all maintenance procedures and standards (SOP’s)

• Coordinate maintenance work schedules around production schedules to complete assignments as necessary.

• Monitor daily performance in the department to ensure schedules are being met.

• Create, update, and manage PMs, CMs, and other activities as necessary to minimize production downtime.

• Maintain and update equipment databases as needed.

• Maintain purchase reports and oversee the purchasing of parts and tools

• Complete accurate and timely reports   

• Help keep all areas of Maintenance and the facility in a clean and presentable manner in accordance with regulatory requirements and VEI standards.

• Responsible for identifying and implementing training opportunities in the Maintenance department to improve skills and performance; provide feedback as necessary

• Interact with all other departments as necessary to maintain quality, productivity, safety, 

and housekeeping standards

• Interact with outside service providers, vendors, and contractors as necessary to ensure timely and accurate service

• Maintain data and prepare reports as required for VEI Management

• Responsible for departmental compliance with all safety, housekeeping, and regulatory procedures 

• Resolve identified problems in a timely manner utilizing staff and available resources.

• Adhere to all VEI company policies and procedures

• Ability to operate a forklift, boom lift, and scissor lift

• Working Supervisor – Position will be expected to be hands on when needed to help mechanics achieve goals.

• Maintain harmonious employee relations; be available to answer questions, resolve problems, and encourage feedback via “open” communication daily; maintain an “open door” policy to resolve issues; administer impartially and fairly the VEI disciplinary process when necessary

Qualifications

Required Education, Skills, and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED will be considered with related experience.

• Strong electrical and mechanical skills, understands schematics, drawings, and mechanical break downs. 

• 3+ years in a supervisor of maintenance role. (Preferably in food or dietary supplement environment).

• 3 to 5 years of experience as a maintenance technician.

• Working knowledge of a Maintenance Management Software

• Strong cost management skills.

• Strong change management skills.

• Proven ability to coach and develop staff.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

• Ability to work weekends.

• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels of the organization.

• Ability to troubleshoot (define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and implement corrective act
