Job Description

Position Summary

Ready to be the superhero of our transition care neighborhood? As our RN Unit Manager, you'll be the captain of an incredible team, ensuring excellence in service to the residents at the Suites of Someren Glen.  Your superpower? Coordinating care and services based on resident needs and individual preferences. Get ready to don your coaching cape as you orient, train, and inspire your direct reports, all while keeping the Director of Nursing in the loop about any staff concerns.

Your Exciting Mission (should you choose to accept it):

  • Be the health detective! Monitor resident needs, swoop in with timely interventions, and spread the word to the right people. Daily rounds? More like daily adventures in quality care!
  • Channel your inner experience for pre-admission assessments of potential residents.
  • Embrace your inner tech guru!  You'll be an expert on the technology we use to make our care even more awesome.
  • Be the go-to hero for staff during clinical emergencies and resident condition changes. No cape required (but totally allowed).
  • Don your detective hat and perform compliance audits. It's like a treasure hunt, but for proper procedures!
  • Orchestrate care plans and rock those patient care conferences like a pro.
  • Become the master of MDS compliance. It's like solving a puzzle, but way more important!
  • Channel your inner paperwork ninja to ensure admission documents are complete, accurate, and up to company standards.
  • Sharpen your Spidey senses to recognize signs and symptoms, then use your superpowers of initiative and judgment to select the right treatments.
  • Be the communication wizard! Effectively chat with nursing staff, physicians, pharmacists, residents, family members, and maybe even the occasional friendly ghost.
  • Embrace your inner superhero and be ready to answer the call (literally) when needed.
  • Join forces with the Director of Nursing to interview, develop, and guide front line staff. It's like being a talent scout and a coach rolled into one!
  • Be prepared for other exciting duties as they pop up. Variety is the spice of life, after all!
