As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking Wealth Mangaement technology, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
- Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
- Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
- Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
- Writes automation test scripts for integration and end to end level for each module using (Rest Assured, Selenium, Cypress, Java, Cucumber)
- Writes and reviews automation scriptsfor Web-Services Testing (SOAP and REST services using Rest assured and Java based framework)
- Works closely with product team to prepare test data requirements, document and proactively work with different teams to setup the data
- Identifies hidden problems and patterns in the automation pipeline that drives improvements for software deployment in an Agile environment
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Expert in writing automation test script for integration and end to end level for each module utilizing (Rest Assured, Selenium, Cypress, Java, Cucumber)
- Expert in scripting for Web-Services Testing (SOAP and REST services using Rest assured and Java based framework)
- Experience in end to end testing requirements for the products involving multiple applications and systems in an agile environment
- Strong in preparing test plans, test data requirements and test strategies with product teams
- Experience in identifying hidden problems and patterns within the automation pipeline driving improvements for software development
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiar with tools (PACT and Spring Cloud Contract for API testing)
- Familiar with designing and building infrastructure tools for managing and storing test data
- In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
- Practical cloud native experience (AWS preferred)
- Experience with Service and Data virtualization to innovate solutions for scrum teams across products to achieve end to end testing
