Job Description
Join Takeda as a Manager, Core Data Product Strategy, where you will support the design, build, and adoption of enterprise Core data products and standards. In this role, you will contribute to one or more Core data products or components—such as conformed HCP/HCO dimensions, standardized fact tables, omnichannel interaction models, or semantic/metrics catalogue entries—working under the guidance of Senior Managers and Core Data Product Lead.
You will partner closely with Franchise data strategy leads, DD&T, and Governance/MDM to translate business needs into well-defined requirements, support enterprise-grade data models, and help drive adoption of Core solutions so franchises can extend Core rather than create bespoke assets.
How you will contribute
- Support ownership of assigned Core product components across requirements, design, build, and release.
- Gather and document requirements from Franchise data strategy leads; translate them into user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items.
- Define and maintain schemas, mappings, and business rules in alignment with established Core standards and MDM publishes.
- Coordinate build and validation activities with DD&T and offshore QA teams; support release readiness and documentation.
- Produce and maintain product documentation such as product summaries, lineage views, business rule definitions, and sample queries.
- Participate in enablement activities (e.g., schema walkthroughs, office hours) and respond to franchise questions.
- Assist with franchise migrations from legacy or bespoke data assets to Core solutions.
- Manage assigned backlog items; participate in refinement, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
- Track dependencies, risks, and delivery status for assigned workstreams.
- Participate in design reviews, standards forums, and data governance touchpoints.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Statistics, Business, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in data product management, data engineering, data modeling, or analytics in a matrixed environment.
- Hands-on experience with dimensional data modeling (facts/dimensions), semantic layers, and basic data quality practices.
- Familiarity with commercial pharma data domains (e.g., CRM/field activity, omnichannel interactions, HCP/HCO, affiliations, market access).
- Working knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g., Databricks), ELT/ETL concepts, and release management processes.
- Demonstrated ability to write clear requirements and acceptance criteria and work effectively with engineering teams.
Preferred
- Working knowledge of SQL/Spark for validation and analysis; basic Python exposure a plus.
- Exposure to BI and metrics layers (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and metric definition governance.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
