JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The College of the Liberal Arts is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Department of History, Department of Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies, Jewish Studies Program, and Latina/o Studies Program.
The primary responsibility of the Administrative Assistant will be to provide event support and planning for the above Departments and Programs. This will involve (but is not limited to):
Schedule events (i.e., place hold on the department calendar, update websites, book venues)
Send and collect invitations
Assist with advertising
Arrange for necessary equipment, as well as catering or meal reservations
Complete visitor forms
Other Key Responsibilities:
Handle requests for study abroad and travel funding
Reconcile reimbursement forms with Financial Office
Assist faculty and students in making equipment/supply purchases
Serve as back-up to the Undergraduate Staff Assistant, when needed (i.e., assist with student inquiries and paperwork)
