Aurora Medical Center-Washington County is recruiting an RN for a .5 FTE position. Position will work 8-hour shifts, 0800-1630, varied schedule Monday - Friday. We are looking for candidates with flexibility in schedule. Previous experience is preferred.

Pay Range

$37.50 - $56.25

AMCWC Hyperbaric and Wound Care team is proud to be a part of our hospital’s Magnet designation.  Since we are a smaller site we have the opportunity to collaborate between areas to meet our patient’s needs (such as lab, diagnostic imaging, interventional radiology and inpatient units).  The entire team is part of our area’s shared governance committee that meets monthly and collaborates on process improvement and best practices for our area.  The RNs work closely with our two wound care providers that are in clinic daily.  The RNs and providers actively communicate and collaborate together to achieve great outcomes for our patients.  We look forward to celebrating when we reach successes together!  This outpatient clinic attached to Aurora Medical Center Washington County.

The nursing team staffs the clinic schedule as well as seeing our inpatients with wound care and ostomy needs.  We start the day with a safety huddle within the department and move into seeing a variety of patients that are scheduled.  These visits vary from new consults with the provider, provider follow-up visits and nurse dressing changes. 

Key Functions of the role include:

• Responsible for providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion and skilled communication, leads efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.

• Uses the nursing process to assess the needs of the patient, plan and implement individualized

• interventions and evaluate the effectiveness of the plan of care. Includes the patient and family in planning and implementing care and develops and maintains a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum.

• Anticipates and recognizes significant changes in the patient’s condition, status, and need for care.

• Provides ongoing assessment of the patient and takes appropriate actions when changes occur.

• Anticipates and alters the plan of care as needed, mobilizes appropriate resources, and collaborates with other health care team members to coordinate patient centered care.

• Implements strategies to reduce patient risk and increase patient safety.

• Assesses patient and family readiness to learn and individualizes the approach as necessary.

• Works collaboratively to develop strategies to meet the learning needs of the patient and family.

• Actively coordinates the discharge plan utilizing an interdisciplinary approach.

• Applies evidence-based practice to deliver patient care.

• Consistently incorporates nursing and regulatory standards of care into practice.
