Position Overview: The Platform Business Partner is a strategic role in the Platform Technology team responsible for aligning our technology solutions with our overarching business objectives. This senior-level position is partnered with an ecosystem and tasked with ensuring our investment in technology is optimizing the value created within that ecosystem’s business. Acting as the primary liaison between the technology team and the rest of the organization, this role requires a blend of technical savvy, strategic planning, and business acumen. By fulfilling the below roles and responsibilities, a business partner can support product owners in effectively managing and delivering successful products that meet business objectives and customer needs. 

What You'll Do

  • Ecosystem Strategic Alignment: Responsible for critical collaboration with ecosystem business and product leaders for a detail understanding of the ecosystem business strategy and associated platform opportunities.  Facilitate regular and predictable communication and collaboration between different stakeholders to ensure alignment on product priorities and decisions for both short and long-term success.   
  • Colibri Strategic Alignment: Help develop business requirements and drivers of value.  Work with the business ecosystem stakeholders to understand annual operating plans (AOPs) and how these impact strategy and tactics.  Additionally, this role will collaborate with functional product directors in technology to align solutions across ecosystems (where logical) and maximize value creation with the investment. 
  • Investment Analysis: Model and analyze return on capital investment (ROI) for prioritization and demonstrated value delivery.  Work with ecosystem stakeholders and platform owners to develop business cases for new product initiatives, including market opportunity, revenue potential, and ROI analysis. 
  • Thought Leadership: Assist in technology solutioning; advocating for the most important customer and ecosystem needs. Be sure that development efforts have the customer experience in mind, and the UX team is involved in solutions at the appropriate an active thought leader on the value streams supported by Shared Service Product Management: learning management, ecommerce, and exam preparation and performance. 
  • Communication & Commercial Readiness: Coordinate requirement detail against design, communicate status, lead risk mitigation, and leading in change management efforts.  An accountable stakeholder in all ecosystem technology initiatives, this role will be a critical leader in partnership with ecosystem leaders in ensuring commercial readiness.  

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred. Applicable experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.  
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a technology leadership role within a mid-to-large sized organization, with proven experience in strategic planning and technology management. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with senior executives and cross-functional teams. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of managing technology budgets and delivering ROI. 
  • 3+ years of experience managing a team.
