Adventist Health is seeking a physical therapy aide to join our team and provide coverage at our Outpatient Physical Therapy clinics, located in Lemoore, Hanford, and Fowler, CA. Enjoy an excellent team environment working alongside highly skilled therapists. The per diem position will provide intermittent coverage for staff vacations at our 3 outpatient physical therapy clinics.

Job Summary:
Provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, including the use of modalities, manual techniques and common exercise techniques. Instructs and guides patients through functional activities, such as bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance activities.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
- Associate’s/Technical Degree in physical therapy or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support certification: Required
Essential Functions:
Physical therapy aides work under the direct supervision of the physical therapists and will provide patient care support for the therapists. Primary role will be to collaborate with the physical therapists and supervise patients throughout exercise programs, modalities and therapist assistance when needed. Secondary roles include patient room set up and clean up, cleaning throughout the rehab clinic, supply ordering, and patient scheduling. Observes and follows treatment precautions as identified by physical therapists. Observes for changes in patient responses and reports changes to supervising physical therapists. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
