Currently we are looking for a highly motivated Working Student (all genders), who would like to join our Regulatory Strategy Compliance Team in Frankfurt which is also part of the broader EMEA Regulatory Strategy team within the EMEA Compliance Department responsible for the support in oversight and coordination of engagement with J.P. Morgan SE (JPMSE) regulators. This role is for 19 h/week during the semester, full-time during breaks on-site. The duration of program is 1 year. If You hold student status for a longer period than the initial offer, there might be a possibility to extend the contract for another year within a different team. Our team members and mentors will help you navigate the firm and continue to learn about our businesses.
Job Summary:
As a Working Student within Regulatory Strategy Compliance Team you will assist in building and maintaining a strong working relationship with the supervision teams for all regulators, as well as in overseeing the management of regulatory examinations, reviews, information requests or other specific deliverables to our regulators working closely with the Compliance team. This Role provides everything you need to be successful – from training and mentorship from senior leaders to projects that engage all your skills.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support in building and maintaining a strong working relationship with the supervision teams for all regulators and other staff as relevant;
- Support in overseeing the schedule of meetings that JPMorgan has with our regulators – making sure that all the logistics run smoothly, helping prepare senior management and others who interact with the regulators for meetings;
- Support in overseeing the delivery of information to our regulators in a timely manner and tracking the various deliverables - both regular and ad-hoc
- Support in reviewing the quality of these submissions and taking action where necessary, keeping records of meetings and agreed actions / deliverables;
- Support in overseeing the management of regulatory examinations, reviews, information requests or other specific deliverables to our regulators working closely with the Compliance team and management as necessary;
- Support in providing timely and appropriate management information on regulatory liaison and relationship management within Compliance and also to broader stakeholders within the firm;
- Support in providing briefing and training sessions as necessary on elements of JPMSE’s supervision
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Legal/Economics/Business Administration or similar (e.g. apprenticeship in banking activities)
- Good knowledge in both German & English (written and oral)
- Ability to read and understand legal documents, e.g. laws and regulations, in German and English
- Capacity to analyse and summarize
- Strong ability of assessing risks and procedures at all levels
- MS Office skills (like Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Independent and organized working approach
- Cooperation & team spirit
- Ability to work under pressure all by being structured and accurate
- Being motivated and reliable
