Job Description:

The Senior Manager, Payroll Operations, leads the global payroll function, providing strategic leadership and direction in the design and administration of policies and practices in support of Dimensional’s compensation programs. The Senior Manager ensure consistent delivery of payroll operations on a global basis for monthly and semi- monthly payroll, while maintaining strict compliance with applicable rules and regulations. This role will be familiar with working in an international environment, operating in accordance with detailed procedures to maintain compliance with rules and regulations, as well as the accurate and timely preparation of payroll. In addition, this position will serve as an escalation point in resolving complex payroll matters with various stakeholders in the organization. This crucial role demands outstanding collaboration and communication skills, as well as a commitment to delivering excellent customer service to internal customers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Payroll Operations

  • Oversight of the payroll process for domestic and multiple foreign entities, including Canada, EMEA (United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Netherlands) and Asia- Pac region (Singapore, Japan)

  • Working as a strategic partner with the Human Resources, Finance, and Legal teams, as well as various working groups, to develop strategies related to the administration of payroll processes.

  • Maintaining and ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of payroll operations, including leading the payroll team in ensuring the validation of new hires, terminations, incentive compensation, employee changes and other ad-hoc events impacting payroll.

  • Responsible for the execution and accuracy of payroll runs, as well as administering and tracking any payroll deductions or withholdings on an ad hoc basis.

  • Act as the primary liaison with external vendors responsible for foreign payroll processing, including compliance with local statutory rules and regulations.

  • Serve as the payroll liaison and expert for cross- functional initiatives impacting payroll, while maintaining process documentation and controls.

  • Coordination of efforts and partnership with colleagues in HR and Finance to identify and implement opportunities to enhance payroll processing & process simplification.

  • Oversight of maintaining and processing foreign payroll tax filings, as well as assisting with responses to tax authority inquiries

  • Administration of multiple critical year- end payroll activities, including the generation and transmission of reporting to pension providers and other related agencies, year- end annual tax documents, and other annual submissions.

  • Perform ad- hoc work/ special projects with departments across the firm, including Finance and Human Resources.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 10 years of payroll management experience, with an emphasis in the administration of international payroll and experience in multi- location payroll processing.

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance & Business Administration or a related field.

  • Proficiency in Workday Payroll systems is required.
