Job Overview:

 The Nursing Clinical Operations Supervisor reports to the Department Director or Department Nurse Manager and is prepared for future Nurse Manager responsibilities through mentorship and/or completion of a BSN degree. 

This role provides leadership by: 

• Demonstrating strong clinical knowledge and applying evidence-based practices to achieve quality outcomes.

• Directing and supporting care appropriate to patients across all ages within the department.

• Leading operations that align with the hospital’s mission, strategic goals, and policies.

• Building partnerships, engaging the workforce, and supporting fiscal/resource management.

During the mentorship period, the Department Director or Nurse Manager maintains 24/7 accountability for department operations and nursing care delivery. In some departments, this position may serve as a permanent supervisory role reporting directly to the Nurse Manager. Mentorship toward Nurse Manager responsibilities is a core expectation of this role.

 

Required: Certifications/Licenses/Experience: 

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) in Indiana or a compact licensed state 
• 2-3 years of RN experience
