Job Description
Robert Bosch is looking for an experienced and passionate Application Resident Engineer to become part of a well-established, successful, and dynamic global team. The selected individual will need to possess great electrical / electronic and /software engineering curiosity and have an outstanding mindset of customer service and cooperation.
This position would provide opportunities for growth, international experiences, travel and exposure to innovative and cutting edge automotive technologies while working hands-on in vehicles on site of some of the largest automakers in the world.
Candidate will need to understand Customer requirements in the application of product within GM vehicle systems, provide Bosch Development team with knowledge and information to help quickly resolve potential product issues, and help maintain and execute test plans.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Help integrate Bosch automotive electronic products into customer’s vehicles while providing positive customer experience. Help integrate Bosch automotive electronic products into vehicles while providing a positive experience for a major Automaker.
- Act as liaison to support Bosch and a major Automaker’s engineering teams.
- Assist in defining and evaluating product requirements.
- Evaluate design alternatives.
- Root cause technical issues and drive process improvements on-site, including RF analysis.
- Oversee, review, and report program milestones.
- Support release of Bosch products in the Automaker’s database, as needed.
- Mainly residing at the Automaker’s location
Qualifications
Base Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering)
- 3+ years of experience in the following:
- Automotive embedded systems engineering field
- RF field analysis (UWB, BLE, or LF/UHF)
- Vehicle-level Root cause analysis and product application (utilizing Vehicle Spy to understand CAN bus) at OEM development centers and plants.
- 5+ year experience with Automotive OEMs
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Calibration development and validation.
- Excellent communication skills in both oral and written form.
- Strong presentation skills to an internal team, as well as a customer audience.
