09The Team: The Private Markets outreach team supports the outreach needs of the content organization to access unique and exclusive data directly from the source. We secure information that is usually not found anywhere else in the publically available sources through establishment of relationships with third parties to be able to provide the most comprehensive data possible to S&P Global Market Intelligence clients. The team would provide expertise in datasets, assist with client requests, and would help Product and Commercial teams with their engagements with current and prospective clients.
The Impact:
The Private Equity Outreach Specialist will primarily work alongside the Market Intelligence dataset teams on a workflow involving contacting firms to gather critical information in order to deliver research, content, and analytics about private capital markets for Private Equity & Venture Capital and alternative asset class firms, their portfolio investments, and funds.
The role also focuses on establishing relationships with external data providers and making sure a strong & lasting partnership is built between S&P and third parties. The role also requires excellent communication, project management, data analytics, conflict resolution, critical thinking, and stakeholder management skills to ensure quality and timely delivery of projects.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the market engagement and communication for Private Markets data
- Develop and manage meaningful & trusted relationship with institutions/authorities governed by law to provide information and set up cadence to receive Private Markets data
- Get in touch with third party institutions via email/website/phone calling to explain who we are and why we require data to receive favorable response. This includes ‘first line’ of engagement with the market participants in relation to analytical and research matters and facilitates effective interaction between the market and the teams.
- Collaborate with senior management to align internal goals with new and existing partner relationships.
- Identify, foster, and create new opportunities / build pipelines through networking.
- Develop and implement outreach and engagement strategies. Execute strategic initiatives including increasing market acceptance by driving proactive engagement.
- Write and edit outreach materials, including presentations and newsletters.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of outreach and engagement efforts.
- You will be recognized as a trusted partner to internal team and a successful relationship builder with private markets participants - capable of successfully navigating that relationship for an optimal outcome. This may include building the network, attending industry events, data sourcing, and other deliverables that required.
- You will procure comprehensive information on the data tracked by the respective department.
- Assist in resolving client questions as it relates to verifying information via company contacts and assist in audits on department datasets in order to reduce errors.
- Keeps up to date in knowledge of content sets. Builds industry knowledge by understanding industry trends and reporting standards.
- Support BAU and client requests across all areas of the dataset
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $53,084 to $77,339. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.
