Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for quality and efficiency?

Serta Simmons Bedding is seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to join our Monroe, OH plant.

In this pivotal role, you will spearhead cell and department activities, ensuring the safe production of top-quality bedding products that meet our stringent delivery and budgetary standards.

Your leadership will be crucial in driving change within the plant and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

How You'll Do It:

 

• Leads cell/department activities and associates to ensure the production of a quality product safely, on time, and within budget; plays a key role in leading and managing plant-wide changes.

• Identifies daily production challenges, finds solutions to prevent reoccurrence, and meets production schedules.

• Acts as a liaison between associates and management, supporting associates through changes.

• Assists in developing and monitoring standardized work for direct reports and adheres to Leader Standard Work for the position.

• Conducts audits or assigns audit duties for key result areas (e.g., quality, safety, scrap).

• Holds daily cell meetings to set expectations for the day.

• Monitors production status hourly, addresses bottlenecks, and takes corrective measures to ensure daily goals are met.

• Oversees continuous flow and materials delivery systems; collaborates with associates to continuously improve processes.

• Develops associates to enhance skills and increase bench strength.

• Reviews production schedules and estimates associate hours required to complete job assignments.

• Interprets specifications and job orders for associates and delegates duties.

• Recommends measures and changes to improve production, equipment, product quality, and working conditions.

• Initiates and suggests plans to motivate and enforce safety rules.

What You'll Bring:

•  3-5 years related experience in a Lean manufacturing environment in a supervisory role. 

 

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. 

 

• Up to 10% Travel as needed
