At Workday, it all began with a conversation over breakfast. When our founders met at a sunny California diner, they came up with an idea to revolutionize the enterprise software market. Our Workmates believe a healthy employee-centric, collaborative culture is the essential mix of ingredients for success in business. That’s why we look after our people, communities and the planet while still being profitable. Feel encouraged to shine, however that manifests: you don’t need to hide who you are. You can feel the energy and the passion, it's what makes us unique. Inspired to make a brighter work day for all and transform with us to the next stage of our growth journey? Bring your brightest version of you and have a brighter work day here.

About the Team

Workday VNDLY is at the forefront of revolutionizing how organizations manage their extended workforce! We are a dynamic and innovative group building the leading Vendor Management System (VMS) that seamlessly integrates with Workday's core Human Capital Management (HCM) platform. Our mission is to empower businesses with total workforce visibility, enabling them to strategically plan, source, and optimize critical external skills – from contingent labor to statement of work (SOW) engagements.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect to drive the evolution and development of our integration strategy connecting Workday XO applications and VNDLY. Reporting to the GM of VNDLY, this crucial role demands a thorough knowledge of the “Workday Services Ecosystem” (including OMS) and a strong internal network to collaborate with various Workday teams. Familiarity with the VNDLY technology stack and its capabilities, which can be acquired in the role, will also be essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing robust, secure, and scalable integrations that unify data, workflows, and user experiences across these two Workday systems, ultimately enhancing operational efficiency and business agility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and evolve the end-to-end integration strategy between Workday XO (e.g., HCM, Recruiting, Finance) and Workday VNDLY, ensuring data consistency, orchestration logic, and compliance across systems.

  • Serve as the architectural lead for all initiatives related to Workday–VNDLY integration, acting as the liaison between different teams across Workday (M&A integration team, Platform teams, VNDLY team and more)

  • Design robust, scalable integrations using OMS, Workday APIs, and VNDLY integration frameworks (REST APIs, Webhooks, middleware patterns), and understand the related functional requirements.

  • Ensure alignment between business needs and technical design for contingent workforce processes, vendor management, and talent acquisition workflows.

  • Translate functional requirements into system architecture and integration patterns that support real-time, near real-time, and batch data flows.

  • Establish integration governance models, reusable frameworks, and documentation standards

  • Define and enforce best practices for data security, access control, and compliance across both platforms.

  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to monitor and maintain integration performance, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Stay current on both Workday’s and VNDLY’s product roadmaps, advising stakeholders on opportunities for innovation and optimization.
