Picker-Packer, Line Leader (2nd shift)

JOB SUMMARY

The Picker-Packer, Line Leader is responsible for ensuring appropriate coordination of internal logistics between internal and external customers.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

This position reports directly to the Group Leader Logistics Shipping. The Picker-Packer, Line Leader bears full responsibility for agreed upon goals and objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to understand and follow Belimo Packaging and Labeling Policy
• Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) and peripheral equipment to accurately pick and pack material from designated storage locations
• Pack and confirm materials in appropriate shipping container. Apply content label and required shipping documents
• Follow all special instructions per customer requests
• Operation of material handling equipment
• Operate shipping computer utilizing the WMS and Transportation Management System (TMS)
• Understanding of both domestic and international shipping documents
• Perform computer functions such as document printing, label & tracking creation, and ensure PGI (Post goods issue)
• Promote and instill good ergonomic practices among team members
• Contribute required details to the Shipping Issues Report
• Ability to pick, pack and ship more complex deliveries
• Manage the upkeep and accuracy of the department information board
• Execute physical inventory counts
• Coordinate work assignments
• Role model to team
• Staff assessment discussions with Logistics Group Leader

Other Duties:

• Group Leader back up for critical functions
  • Basic Warehouse Management System troubleshooting 
  • Basic SAP transacations 
  • Basic TMS transactions
• Monitor and order shipping supplies 
• Complete knowledge of Picker/Packer processes and functions
• Assist in other warehouse functions
• Promote and maintain a safe and clean workplace and working environment (Health, Safety, Security, Environment)
• Contribute to temporary assignments and projects

REQUIREMENTS

• High School education or equivalent
• 2 years Pick, Pack and Shipping experience required
• International shipping required
• Ability to use computers and other electronic interface equipment (i.e. scan guns, printers)
• Average manual dexterity (Hand to eye coordination)
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. (11 kg)
• Operate material handling equipment
• Deal with time constraints and deadlines; skills with manipulating multiple priorities; self-actuated; sense of urgency
   

The base pay for this position is $25.67 hourly with a target performance bonus of  5% of an employee’s annual base salary.
