Job Summary:

The Analyst, Trade Compliance and Operations, will support the timely border crossing of shipments for Hydro ENA plants and ensure that the company follows Government Agency requirements. This role will involve collaborating with internal stakeholders, implementing trade compliance strategies, and optimizing trade operations to support business goals.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a Trade Compliance role.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in international business or supply chain preferred.
  • Customs Broker License or Certified Customs Specialist preferred.
  • Knowledge of trade compliance regulations and operational processes.
  • General knowledge of purchasing procedures.
  • Familiarity with Incoterms.
  • International Logistics experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training material relevant to purchasing, sales, customer service, and R&D.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain trade compliance policies and procedures.
  • Manage team inbox and respond to questions from customs broker for live shipments/entries.
  • Collaborate and provide guidance and training to various departments on international logistics and trade compliance – including logistics, purchasing, sales, customer service, and R&D.
  • Partner with legal, finance, operations, and other relevant departments to align trade compliance strategies with business objectives.
  • Ensure company imports are compliant with CBP import regulations such as HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) classification, valuation, country of origin, assists, recordkeeping, ADD/CVD, special trade programs, and partner government agency declarations.
  • Maintain operational and compliance related KPIs.
  • Classify products for import (HTS) and export (ECCN).
  • Identify areas of improvement and efficiency within current trade compliance program.
  • Less than 10% travel required.
