We are searching for a Senior Accountant to work in our Park Ridge Office.
· Experience with Sage Intacct and Planful and healthcare companies a plus.

The Senior Accountant will be a key player on our accounting team who will work closely with the Controller and the entire accounting team to ensure the financial close process is completed in a timely manner and all related reports, analysis and reconciliations are prepared and approved. Additionally, this individual will assist with other duties and projects such as process enhancements, internal controls monitoring, industry benchmarking, accounting literature research, acquisition support, and other duties or projects as required.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Prepare, review, and post general ledger entries in support of month-end close process
· Prepare and or approve monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations as required
· Assist with year-end including gathering information for the completion of the annual financial statement reviews and audits, Medicare and Medicaid cost reports and tax returns in a multi-state environment.
· Execute on critical areas of the monthly financial close process, including monthly analysis, reporting and communications to senior management, investors and banks
· Reconciliation of sub-ledgers and 3rd party payroll to general ledger
· Respond to all accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
· Direct assistance with special finance projects and analysis.
· Ensure compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to the role.
· Represent the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

Requirements
To be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar area of study
· 5-7 years of accounting experience, CPA or in certification process a plus
· Experience in healthcare, specifically skilled nursing or rehabilitation an advantage
· Experience with Sage Intacct and Planful a plus
· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with advanced functional knowledge of MS Excel is required
· Excellent communication skills; positive attitude and customer focused team player capable of working in a deadline dictated environment.
· High accuracy with strong attention to detail
