This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO.
Position Overview:
The selected applicant will support a growing portfolio of programs and IRADs that focus on modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) of missile defense, space, and intelligence systems to evaluate the mission performance of military systems. Some domestic travel (up to 10%) may be required, dependent on the program needs.

Basic Qualifications (BQs):
This requisition may be filled at either a Systems Engineer Modeling & Simulation or a Principal Systems Engineer Modeling & Simulation level.
Basic Qualifications (Systems Engineer Modeling and Simulation)
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 0 years of related experience.
- Experience using Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) to inform the development of systems along the left side of the “Systems Engineering Vee”
- Knowledge of missile system propulsion, guidance, aerodynamics, and performance
- Experience using Python, MATLAB, or related technologies to interpret complex data
- Comfortable communicating technical information to technical and non-technical customers
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs.
- Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start.
Basic Qualifications (Principal Systems Engineer Modeling and Simulation)
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related experience, or 1 year of experience with a PhD.
- Experience using Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) to inform the development of systems along the left side of the “systems engineering vee”
- Knowledge of missile system propulsion, guidance, aerodynamics, and performance
- Experience using Python, MATLAB, or related technologies to interpret complex data sets
- Comfortable communicating technical information to technical and non-technical customers
- Experience mentoring and developing junior-level engineers
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs.

Preferred Qualifications
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
- Master’s degree in Systems Engineering
- Experience working with Missile Defense systems
- Experience using the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM)
- Experience with Ansys ModelCenter
- Experience with SIMDIS
- Ability to support development of systems engineering models using SysML and Cameo
