Position Overview

Menard Correctional Center is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual to serve in the role as Health Information Associate.  This position assists in the establishment and maintenance of the Problem Oriented Medical Records (POMR) system.  This individual will also coordinate and compile health information data for input into Offender 360 (O360), gathers data, prepares keyboarded reports, memorandas, summaries, and participates in Quality improvement committees. Essential Functions

• As a paraprofessional, assists in the establishment and maintenance of the Problem Oriented Medical Records (POMR) system. 
• Coordinates and compiles health information data for input into Offender 360 (O360).
• Gathers data, prepares keyboarded reports, memoranda, and summaries.
• Participates on Quality Improvement committees.
  
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to two (2) years of college AND one (1) year of health-related office experience.  OR Requires completion of high school AND three (3) years of health-related office experience.
