Senior Software Engineer

Are you a skilled full-stack engineer ready to make a meaningful impact in healthcare? Join us to design and develop a cutting-edge billing system tailored for specialty practices. This innovative platform will integrate seamlessly with Netsmart solutions, addressing specific billing needs for senior living facilities (GEHRIMED), therapy practices (TheraOffice), and medical-assisted treatment programs like methadone dispensing (Methasoft).

In this role, you'll be involved in full-stack development, contributing across both front-end and back-end systems as we build this platform from the ground up. With projects yet to start, you'll help shape the technology stack. Experience within SQL, .NET, Java, GoLang, JavaScript frameworks (Angular or React), Microservices Architecture (MVC), and AWS, are all a plus.

Ideal candidates have experience in healthcare billing applications and thrive in Agile environments. You'll collaborate closely with a skilled team, leveraging two-week sprints to deliver production-ready solutions. This is your chance to apply your expertise of full stack development to transform the healthcare billing landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Participate fully in software development life cycle for large, complex projects
  • Design, build and produce software solutions independently
  • Conduct team and project planning using Agile methodology and structured delivery processes
  • Collaboratively support, troubleshoot and fix issues as part of broader software development team
  • Work with and lead onsite and offshore delivery and operations teams
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and guidance; motivate others to achieve shared aspirations
  • Establish metric-driven goals and report status, risks and mitigation strategies to key stakeholders
  • This position may require availability outside of standard business hours as part of a rotational on-call schedule

Qualifications
Required

  • Ability to work onsite in Overland Park, KS
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • At least 2 years of technical experience in software development
  • At least 2 years of experience with full lifecycle development using Agile methods
  • The ability to estimate accurately and deliver high quality software on time
  • The ability to effectively communicate across organizational functions
  • The ability to effectively plan, organize and measure progress toward goals and objectives

Preferred

  • Experience in the health and human services or post acute marketplace
  • Experience with Netsmart EHR solutions
