About this job:
The Regional Summer School Program is a summer intervention for course recovery, using the Edgenuity digital curriculum platform to help students restore credits and stay on track for graduation.
Dates & Hours:
- RSS Staff Training:
- Asynchronous virtual training (3 hrs) available May 23rd.
- In-person training: June 6th, 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. & June 9th 7:30 a.m. -11:00 a.m.
- 5 week program runs June 10th - July 11th 2025. No school on June 19th or July 4th.
- Staff Hours: Tuesday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Sites:
- South High School (southeast Denver)
- Montbello High School (far northeast Denver)
- Bruce Randolph High School (near northeast Denver)

What You’ll Do:
- Counsel students to encourage and support student achievement.
- Monitor, supervise, coordinate and enforce rule of conduct and behavior assigned students; and reinforces positive student behaviors in accordance with school and District policy.
- Observe, evaluate, report and record students' performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
- Prepare for daily delivery of the designated Edgenuity digital curriculum.
- Complete asynchronous Professional Learning (3 hours) beginning 5/23, and in-person RSS Staff Training on 6/6 and 6/9.
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests. • Instruct students individually and in groups, using various teaching methods (e.g., lectures, technology, discussions).
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects to students. • Prepare, administer, assign and grade tests and assignments to evaluate student progress, reporting grades using District software.
- Prepare student, attendance and activity reports as required by administrators.
- Inform Site Leader about any health and safety concerns in a timely manner.
- Provide instructional support to students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP); provide student supervision as directed by the Site Leader; collaborate with other staff at the site to inform and support IEP goals and objectives.
- Communicate with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral and academic problems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field, required
- Current Colorado Department of Education Teacher’s License
- Knowledge with Google Suite including Doc, Sheets and Gmail
- Effective time management and organizational skills
