About the job:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative professional with strong knowledge of Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) operations and operational risk management. This role is responsible for the ongoing execution and continuous improvement of one or more critical operational processes, ensuring alignment with defined business objectives and regulatory expectations.
Key responsibilitiesĀ include testing risks and controls, executing control testing, and performing other periodic control activities to support a strong and compliant control environment. The role also includes conducting communication surveillance to identify and mitigate potential compliance or operational issues.
The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of control frameworks in a dynamic financial services environment.Ā Spanish language skills are a plus, as the role may involve coordination with Spanish-speaking teams or regions.
Area Description
The Risk Control Assurance (RCA) team operates within the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division and is part of the broader Global Risk Management organization. Based in the U.S., RCA is responsible for providing independent and objective assurance over the design and effectiveness of operational controls that mitigate risk across key business processes.
The team conducts risk-based testing, control validations, and periodic assurance reviews to evaluate the strength of the control environment and ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. RCA works closely with first and second lines of defense to identify control gaps, recommend improvements, and support ongoing risk mitigation efforts.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in risk control

With respect to this position in our New York Office, the expected base salary ranges from $110,000 to $130,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
