The Accounting Associate is responsible for supporting the organization through proper recording, maintenance, reporting, and analysis of financial information. This position is vital to the smooth operation and timely financial reporting of our Financial Team. The Finance Team is responsible for multiple companies across the globe. This position is located in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Requirements

• Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments 
• Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition 
• Communicate with customers to complete vendor registration and ensure billing meets customer requirements 
• Assist in month-end close process 
• Prepare various reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data 
• Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards 
• Conduct reconciliation of accounts on an as needed basis 
• Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner 
• Assist Finance Team with various tax and compliance projects

YOUR COMPETENCIES 

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills 
• Very organized with a strong attention to detail 
• Knowledge of GAAP 
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel 
• Dynamics GP or equivalent accounting system experience a plus 
• Salesforce or equivalent CRM experience preferred 

 

YOUR EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

• 3+ years of prior accounting experience  
• AA, BA or BS degree in accounting or equivalent work experience a plus
