Dental Assistant-Senior Care

Primary Functions: 

This position is responsible for: Dental assisting as mandated by department policies and procedures, reports directly to Dental Services Supervisor.

Essential Functions: 

1.  Chairside Assisting

 2. Complete process to obtain digital radiographs

 3. Obtain from the patient a comprehensive medical/dental work-up on new patients.

 4. Responsible for current sterilization procedures and basic cleaning of dental units

 5. Clean and maintain dental equipment

 6. Provide home care instructions when needed

 7.  Document patient’s electronic medical record for procedures completed/recommended

Qualifications

High School Diploma Required

At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant required.
