Responsibilities and Impact:

A key role in the North America Upstream sales team focused on growing our partnerships with our Upstream clients in the Dallas/Ft Worth area.

Build and nurture relationships with S&P Commodity Insights upstream customers to provide solutions that improve our customer operations and insights. 

Working as the lead on your set accounts you will work with your colleagues as part of a team building an account strategy that results in high retention and growth of our business.

Multi-faceted position, dealing with all stages of the sales and renewal process.  The role is critical to the entire customer journey and will be working multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.

Develop an exceptional understanding of, and stay current on, the S&P Global Commodity Insights products and functionality and their application to specific clients/job functions.

Contribute to the business strategy through a deep understanding of industry requirements, market trends and client requirements.

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $72,300 to $143,800. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Required Qualifications:

Degree with 3+ years of successful sales experience managing major or complex accounts in the upstream industry.

Consultative sales and negotiation skills experience, possess high integrity and is proficient to all phases of selling cycle from need creation, proposal preparation, negotiation to deal closure.

Excellent communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills that adds value to the relationship by distilling, summarizing, interpreting, and communicating information to facilitate its usefulness.

Strong planning and organization skills and able to prioritize.

Travel required.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Degree with 5+ years of successful sales experience managing major or complex accounts, preferably in the upstream industry.

Proven leadership in managing multi-national global and/or strategic accounts, multi-cultural awareness and regional experience is preferred.

Strong planning and organization skills Salesforce/ Equivalent CRM, Work, Excel and PowerPoint
