Experienced Foreman

We are looking for traveling experienced Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites. As the point of reference for workers, you will be a key person for the completion of a project. As an experienced Foreman, you must have a solid background in the field of construction or concrete. Your leadership skills and your extensive experience have earned you the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. You must be well-organized and favor safety above everything else.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans
• Allocate general and daily responsibilities
• Supervise and train workers and tradespeople
• Ensure manpower and resources are adequate
• Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met
• Supervise the use of machinery and equipment
• Resolve problems when they arise
• Report on progress to managers, engineers etc.

Requirements

• Must have the ability to be away from home for extended periods of time - This position will require 90-100% travel within the US. Our travel home policy is: Up to 4 days off every 4 weeks -or- Up to one work week every 6 weeks. Candidates must also reside within the US.
• Have at least 2 years of proven experience as construction foreman
• Have at least 3 years of in-depth concrete construction knowledge of procedures, equipment and OSHA guidelines. Concrete restoration experience, an asset.
• Experience managing demanding deadline expectations while upholding quality work.
• Have a demonstrated ability to interact with clients & team members in an efficient, professional manner.
• Possess a valid Driver's License with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Vector is a drug and alcohol-free workplace. Successful candidates will be required to pass a drug screen.
• Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints
• Good physical condition and stamina
• High school diploma or diploma in a skilled trade (electrician, carpenter etc.)
