About the Role
Alto Pharmacy is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Compliance Specialist to be a general resource for all pharmacy and healthcare compliance matters. You will be responsible for Alto Policy and Procedure governance, including the creation, revision and storage of all Alto Pharmacy policies and procedures. You will track all employee training and education and be a champion for compliance training and a good-will ambassador for the Alto compliance program. You will help assign role-based compliance curriculum and underscore the importance of proper and up-to date compliance training completion as well as discipline for non-compliance. You will help establish URAC, NABP, and ACHC accreditation and advise the business when policies and practices affect these accreditations. You will also be expected to advise the business on general pharmacy compliance matters that affect our day-to-day operation, including but not limited to controlled substance laws, multi-state pharmacy licensing and shared services.

Help maintain Alto Pharmacy’s compliance program as you:

Select a compatible learning management software (LMS) to house and track all compliance and general training

Develop and maintain our compliance training program
-
Work with Human Resources to establish role-based curriculum
-
Assist Human Resources in recommending discipline for non-compliance
-
Be a champion and good-will ambassador for our Ethics and Compliance program
-
Be the primary gatekeeper for Alto’s ethics and compliance hotline.

Act as Alto’s accreditation in-house expert

Establish a policy and procedure governance program
-
Help select software that houses all Alto policies and procedures
-
Gain stakeholder input for all existing and new policies and procedures
-
Perform a gap analysis and help create any missing or obsolete policies or procedures

Act as a general resource for pharmacy compliance matters that affect daily operation at Alto
-
Work interactively with cross-functional teams to achieve company business and compliance goals/objectives.

Stay abreast of evolving regulatory and industry standards that are relevant, and ensure that appropriate action is initiated and communicate these trends to applicable personnel.
A Bit About You
Minimum Qualifications:
-
PharmD or BS in pharmacy
-
Licensed pharmacist in good standing in at least one jurisdiction

Experience in monitoring training and education using an LMS

Experience in policy management and governance
-
Strong knowledge of URAC/NABP/ACHC accreditation requirements and how to obtain and renew accreditation

3-5 years of experience in pharmacy or healthcare compliance

Strong positive attitude, good work ethic, sound clinical acumen and empathy for our patients

Extremely organized, analytical, adept at prioritizing, and detail oriented

Scrappiness and resourcefulness, and excited about working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment

Excellent computer organizational skills including experience with all Google Apps, and database applications

Preferred Qualifications:

CHC accreditation from the HCCA

Knowledge of multi-state pharmacy operations
