Job Summary
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for supporting a wide variety of marketing and communications initiatives from supply chain updates to sales support tools to marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the development and implementation of marketing plans and projects for new and existing accounts
- Develops sales collateral and support materials for business development and account management teams
- Plans and supports both in-person and virtual events (including conferences and webinars)
- Drafts copy for email campaigns and newsletters
- Creates content for social media to drive interest in procurement offerings
- Provides presentation support for key customer meetings
- Assesses effectiveness of current marketing vehicles and provides recommendations for improvement
- Regularly monitor and make content updates to internal and external platforms
- Monitors key performance metrics
- Monitors industry best practices and trends
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- <1+ years professional marketing, sales, or category development experience
- Bachelor’s degree (marketing, communications or graphic design degree preferred)
- Supply chain, GPO, or other logistics or food service industry experience a plus
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite. Comfortable executing basic graphic design requests
- Familiarity with Canva a plus
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Strong project management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, effective communication and ability to collaborate with a broad range of individuals
- Ability to present with confidence
- Ability to write clearly and concisely
- Familiarity with web technology and all forms of social media
