The Global Product Support team is responsible for the Material Master in SAP and for maintaining data in our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system to support our Quality Certifications and advising the global supply chain on the best method to achieve material set up to supply our global customers.
This role will provide technical and knowledgeable support to our business users, advising them on the system implications of requests, thus saving them time and facilitating quality outcomes. Integral to the success of this role is the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization and to keep up-to-date on business trends and technology.
Key Accountabilities/Essential Functions:
- SAP Material Management: Creating materials in SAP, initiating SAP material workflows, and maintaining data integrity in SAP. Knowledge Expert on each field of the Material Master and what it drives.
- Data Integrity: Ensuring product information integrity through various supply chain processes and systems such as SAP and others to support product launches and change management.
- Mergers & acquisitions (M&A) Coordination: Assisting the M&A team with the coordination and management of product-related activities during the acquisition process. This includes working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of products, from due diligence to post-merger integration. Discretion is required along with NDA requirements.
- Supply Chain Knowledge: Utilizing a comprehensive understanding of the overall supply chain to advise other business groups on how to proceed with various scenarios.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborating closely with Product Management, Process Technology, and Quality Teams, among others, to ensure seamless operations and integration.
Main responsibilities: Below is an outline of anticipated core responsibilities. This is not intended to be a comprehensive list and other/new responsibilities may be assigned.
- Product Lifecycle management:
- Maintain global product information and master data standards in SAP material master, EHS Substance database (SAP) and other databases.
- Recipe entry in SAP.
- Run periodic SAP reports to create MS Excel spreadsheets and data review/validation. Manage data clean up in both SAP and other databases, based on reports.
- Process requests sent to the Product Support team. Analyze request, determine required action and execute accordingly. Follow up with various business groups as necessary.
- Collaborate with members of master data, supply chain and corporate groups to accomplish approvals of new products, changes and resolution of issues.
- Provide guidance and delegate tasks to our Global Excellence Center (GEC - shared services) Team. Communicate changes in processes in real time with our GEC Team.
- Support Solenis to implement a global Product Life Management Process.
- Support Acquisitions:
- Assist in the collection, organization, and analysis of product-related data during the due diligence phase.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information on acquired products.
- Monitor and track progress of integration activities, ensuring timelines and milestones are met.
- Facilitate communication and coordination between various departments, including R&D, Product Management, Process Technologist, and IT.
- Participate in integration meetings, providing status updates and addressing any issues.
- Provide ongoing support for integrated products post-merger, addressing any operational or strategic issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of post-merger product strategies.
Qualifications:
- Successfully completed education (BA/BS minimum) and/or equivalent job experience in a similar position.
- 4-5 years of SAP experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills are required.
- Microsoft Office skills, with depth
