ChristianaCare is seeking a full-time Inpatient Physical Therapy Assistant to join our dedicated rehabilitation team at the Newark campus, the largest in our network. This campus supports several specialty-certified programs, including:

• Level I Trauma Center
• Comprehensive Stroke Treatment Center
• Regional Center of Excellence in Heart and Vascular Care
• Cancer Care Services

We are recruiting a Physical Therapy Assistant to work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, helping individuals recover from injury or illness through personalized and compassionate rehabilitative care.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implement treatment programs developed by a Physical Therapist
• Continually assess patients’ response to treatment and modifies the treatment plan and goals in consultation with the supervising Physical Therapist
• Completes all documentation within the scope of practice
• Progresses patients as appropriate towards timely completion of goals established at evaluation
• Communicates patient’s goals, status and equipment needs to the clinical team
• Provides patient and family education and training
• Supervises PTA students during clinical affiliation programs

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Associates Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant
• Licensure in the State of Delaware as a Physical Therapy Assistant
• CPR Certification
• APTA preferred
