Juniper Software Engineer II: Test Engineering Applications Development (TEAD) Team

Seeking a Software Engineer II (SE2) to design and develop applications and productivity tooling for Juniper’s COO Engineering Organization.  The Engineering Organization develops software and hardware products for Juniper’s Hyper-Scale Cloud, Service Provider, Data Center, and Enterprise customers. 

Working as an SE2 at Juniper Networks, he/she will gain exciting real-world full-stack (front & back-end) development along with industry standard business best practices, at a thriving software networking company. Our goal is to provide a very intellectually challenging and satisfying work experience for our Engineers.

About the position: 

Work closely with geographically distributed engineering teams to develop applications for Juniper Software Engineering.  Develop software applications & automation tools and processes targeted for increased workflow productivity, verify high quality functionality, manageability, modularity, for best of class performance related customer use cases, for Juniper’s high-performance secure networking products. 

Responsibilities

• Develop Applications and Productivity Tools for our Juniper Engineering Organization and other Organizational Business Units within Juniper
• Participate in designing, reviewing, and developing innovative software that helps our Engineers to be more efficient and productive
• Work directly with our internal engineering teams to define the problem statement, requirements, and collaborate to create the best innovative solution and user experience
• Collaborate and engage with our Development, Test, Build, and Security Compliance teams in Engineering, to build end-to-end applications and solutions that help our Engineers to produce more efficient, productive, and secure processes and products
• Design and Develop best-in-class Automation Frameworks that address API (back-end) and UI (front-end) Product Specific Applications

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer or Data Sciences 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Experience with Python3, AngularJS, ReactJS, GOLang, & Container Technologies (beneficial but not required)
• Very good at programming (Python, C/C++, Java ...), algorithm design and implementations
• Academic and work experience with Machine Learning: Predictive data analysis, sklearn, numpy,
• Seaborn, matplot; Dynamic Algorithms, Data Structures and Object-Oriented Programming in C#,
• Python; Back-end web services: Decoupled Restful Webservice Frameworks .NET, CherryPy,
• AngularJS; Databases: Relation Database MySQL and PostgreSQL; Front-end services:
• TML/CSS/JavaScript, Angular JS, Bootstrap; Versioning Systems: GitHub, GitLab, SVN, TFS; and
• Operating Systems: Ubuntu, OSX, Windows.

Preferred/Min Qualifications:

• Bachelors or a Masters in Computer/Data Sciences
• 1-2 years of work-related experience (including multiple Internships/co-ops, as applicable)
• Good verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
• Self-motivated team player, and capable of working in a fast-paced R&D environment
• Ability to work in teams

Minimum Salary: $102,400.00

Maximum Salary:$147,200.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $102,400.00 and $147,200.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
