We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Specialist, Program Cost Controls (P3) to join our growing team. This role will support the Raytheon Operations and Supply Chain (OSC) Finance organization and will work closely with the Program Office, as well as, another OSC analyst supporting the program. As a member of the OSC finance team, you will be responsible for executing all aspects of the production finance processes (EACs, EVMS, BCRs, etc). The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the Operations or Supply Chain financials and the scope of work for this role includes weekly, monthly variance reporting, EV and EAC development, and weekly analysis of cost runs with support to both Control Accounts Managers (CAMs) as well as the Program Manager. The ideal candidate will help lead critical analysis, be expert communicators, able to transfer knowledge, resolve conflicts and relay timing critical information to leadership. Lastly, they will prioritize time spent in a deadline driven environment. The ability to be self-sufficient as well as operate in a team environment, supporting both the functional organizations as well as ensuring program financial commitments are met, will be fundamental to success in this role.
This position is currently designated as fully remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories).
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Creation of Estimates at Complete (EACs) on a quarterly basis along with maintaining prior documentation.
Monthly Earned Value along with providing variance analysis.
Provide cost, schedule and funding planning, reporting, monitoring, and analysis support to OSC leaders, leadership teams, and management using standard company tools and processes.
Prepare and lead program financial forecasts, monitor actual costs, and explain variances to plans and forecasts.
Support ad hoc requests from OSC leadership and the Program Office.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically, candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and 5 years prior relevant experience, or an advanced Degree in a related field and 3 years’ finance experience. Preferred degrees in in Business, Accounting, Finance or Math or related field.
Experience with one or more of the following: SAP, APEX, PRISM, PMX.
Experience in financial analysis or related financial field.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Earned Value experience strongly preferred
Experience in production or similar schedule driven environment within a profit driven business based on practical experience
Proficient in Analysis for Office (AO) and Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with large data sets and detail-oriented analysis.
Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of stakeholders using various methods including presenting, email communication, Zoom, etc.
Ability to manage competing priorities in an effective manner.
Ability to problem solve, while ensuring strong communication with leadership.
Ability to work well in a team setting and collaborate with peers to ensure success of the program as well as work independently with minimal oversight in a fast paced environment.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
