About the role

Summary of Position:Video Director (with Audio Experience)The Video Director is responsible for overseeing the execution and optimization of video production at our Frisco campus. This role ensures high-quality video content for live weekend services while maintaining a working knowledge of audio systems to support overall production needs.This role includes managing video production workflows, leading volunteer weekend teams, and maintaining campus equipment to ensure smooth operations.Principal Job ResponsibilitiesTechnical Expertise
  • Maintain advanced technical proficiency in video production, including camera operation, video switchers, and broadcast systems.
  • Provide basic audio support when needed, troubleshooting and optimizing live mixing setups in coordination with the audio team.
  • Oversee video system setup and troubleshooting for live weekend services.
  • Ensure seamless integration of video, audio, and lighting systems for a high-quality production experience.

Production Planning & Execution
  • Coordinate video elements with audio and lighting teams for a cohesive production.

Equipment Management
  • Oversee maintenance, updates, and inventory of video equipment, ensuring all gear is in top working condition.
  • Troubleshoot video system issues quickly to prevent production disruptions.
  • Act as a point of contact for technical support needs, working with the Campus Operations team as required.

Quality Control
  • Conduct regular quality assessments of video production systems to maintain high standards.
  • Monitor and refine camera settings, color grading, and video signal integrity for live content.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and implement improvements as needed.

Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to video production, and equipment handling.

General Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking ability.
  • 2+ years of experience in video production, broadcast systems, or a related field.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure during live productions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

 ( Nice to Have )
  • Advanced knowledge of video systems, audio signal flow, and production techniques.
  • Experience with Sony Switchers, Riedel Comm, Evertz Router, ENG & Cinema Cameras, and digital audio consoles.

General Requirements
  • Flexible schedule with availability for weekdays, weekends, and special events.
  • Must be available 2-3 weekends per month 

General Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here represent those needed to successfully perform this role:
  • Sit/stand for long periods.
  • Occasionally kneel or crouch.
  • Lift/move up to 10 lbs. regularly and up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
