Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Role Purpose

In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Product Line Managers, and Supply Chain, to ensure accurate demand projections, and support strategic decision-making. This position plays a critical role in aligning forecasting efforts with the overall business strategy and ensuring seamless coordination across departments. Additionally, you will serve as the Demand Forecasting Process Lead for the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, driving alignment between demand planning, financial goals, and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the demand forecasting process for multiple product lines and regional sales teams across the division.
  • Develop and maintain accurate, data-driven demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and advanced statistical models.
  • Provide insights on forecast accuracy, key variances, and trends to support business planning.
  • Convert supply responses into revenue forecasts to report on monthly revenue forecast for the division.
  • Act as the Demand Forecasting Process Lead for the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.
  • Ensure demand forecasts are integrated into the broader IBP framework, aligning with financial, operational, and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IBP stakeholders to ensure seamless alignment of demand, supply, and financial plans.
  • Prepare monthly IBP demand review meetings, presenting forecasts, assumptions, with attention to data accuracy.
  • Lead scenario planning and “what-if” analyses to evaluate risks and opportunities, and ensure contingency plans are in place.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance forecasting tools, processes, and methodologies to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Implement best practices in demand planning and forecasting, leveraging technology and data analytics.
  • Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to refine forecasting models.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members involved in the forecasting process.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven culture within the team.

Experiences/Education - Required

- We require a minimum of a BA/BS degree in business, finance, supply chain, or related fields

- At least 5+ years of relevant work experience in demand forecasting, finance, or business planning function; ideally in a position requiring data analysis.

- Advanced excel experience to support data analysis and sales forecast management

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • MBA or Master's Degree in related field is preferred. 
  • Proficiency in demand planning and forecasting tools (e.g., SAP IBP, Oracle or similiar) 
  • Capable of understanding data from business insights 
  • PowerBi experience 
  • Work independently and respond quickly to requests.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate, influence and align cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in fast-paced environement.
